Teotitlán or Teocaltitlán, means in Nahuatl language: "Tierra de Dioses and is one of the places that most attracts visitors to the state of Oaxaca for the craftsmanship they produce there. With the production of wool rugs Teotitlan becomes famous both in Mexico and abroad.

The production of rugs, their techniques and designs are transmitted from generation to generation with rudimentary looms, this does not make the beauty of their pieces and the interest of foreigners in having one.

The preparation of the rugs begins with brushing the wool manually, then it must be spun and milled in large bunches that are easy to handle.
The colors are mostly natural colors and these are the most valued in the market, but even so we find artificial colors that can be distinguished by their brightness.
